The Costa Blanca reaches from Denia in the north to the Andalusian border to the north and south of Alicante, bordering in the Costa Cálida. Visitors to the Costa Blanca will be met be sun and beaches, numerous sporting possibilities, local tradecrafts, an excellent gastronomy (home of the Paella and uncountable other rice and fish dishes) and the bright Mediterranean light that gave the Costa Blanca its name.

Climate on the Costa Blanca

The climate on the Costa Blanca is mild, warm and very sunny and agreeable all year-round. It is one of the healthiest climate regions of the world!

Our holiday house locations on the Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca is dominated by tourism, but we only offer holiday houses (mostly pool villas) in areas that have a more sensible development than other (more touristy places) but without totally lacking a tourist infrastructure. The predominant form of settlement here is loose villa settlements with lots of green and no multi-storey blocks! Javea at the foot of the Montgo hill between Denia and Calpe is especially nice.

There are large sand beaches and small rock bays; the water is of very good quality, usually very calm, transparent and - especially in the small rock bays - of a magnificent blue-green colour. Many beaches have been awarded the blue flag and the rocky areas are ideal for snorkelling and diving.

Costa Calida
The coastal strip around Aguilas between Alicante and Almeria stayed unknown for a long time, and small villa settlements only appeared very late. There are no multi-storey blocks or large hotels. Here as usual for the southeast of Spain the number of sunny hours is extremely high. There are many beautiful beaches around Aguilas, and the rocks are ideal for snorkelling.

Nature on the Costa Blanca

The richly structured rocky coastline with bays with sand beaches offers many water sports and walking possibilities. The unique Mediterranean flora and fauna is protected in nature reserves along the coast as well as in the back-country. The back-country of the Costa Blanca is very appealing from a landscape point of view and offers many and varied possibilities for excursions, for example the Nature Park Montgó, the Capes of San Antonio, La Nao and Punta San Martí, the largest palm forests of Europe in Elche, the saline lakes with flamingos near Torrevieja...

Culture and excursions on the Costa Blanca

The festivals with local costumes and the running of the bulls in the region are famous. Alicante and Valencia are well worth seeing and a trip to the back-country with its castles and quaint villages will be enjoyable to even the most diehard beach fan. Most types of sports and water sports are on offer here and discotheques, pubs and terrace bars guarantee entertaining evenings. Various amusement, theme and aqua parks offer something for every age.
